Newport Anniversary Session | Priscilla & Richard

Love. Such a strange word. This word represents so much, like how you feel about people, animals, places, and food(my favorite.) It's something we all strive to have in our lives. Something so powerful that we write books and songs about it. I can say that I love love.

I love my twin sister. She is definitely a part of me. I can also say that I love that she is in love with Richard. These two sometimes drive me crazy, but I'm so glad they have found each other.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 12:4-7

As common as this verse is, I've realized that love is everything this verse says. We aim for the feelings of love, but we do not consider the actions in which love should make us have. It is a constant choice to love someone. Choosing to stick around when it's not easy. Love is not easy, but worth fighting for. To you, my beautiful sister and her love, Richard, may you both continue fighting to love each other.

Wedding Photography

Why do I love wedding photography?

It never occurred to me that I would become a wedding photographer. Yes, after photographing over 40 weddings over the last 4 years, I feel like I can finally say that. At the age of 15, I held my first point and shoot, age 17, my first DSLR, age 18, shot my first wedding. From what started as a hobby and way to get out of the house, has become a passion I have grown to love more and more. I am absolutely in love with it.

But what is it about wedding photography that I love so much?

The emotion. The people. The ability to capture moments that will last a lifetime.

Every wedding day is different, but the same. Each day has a serious of events: the bride and groom both get ready, see each other for the first time, get married, and dance the night away. It's the consistency that I love, but  the unexpectedness that makes me feel alive.

I feel privileged. Privileged that I get to share in these moments with these couples and their guests. I feel privileged that my photos will either be on their walls or even their coffee tables for generations to see. I feel privileged that I was given the ability to work and meet with so many amazing and talented people. I learn from each and every one that I work with.

So I leave you with this:
Are you passionate about something?

Vera & Jose | Brea Canyon Park Maternity

For a period last year, I was working three jobs, going to school and being a crazy lady. Thank goodness I've become more sane and have one job(photography) and go to school. During that time, I was working at a shoe store. Vera came into the shoe store one day and ended up buying earring. I immediately noticed her adorable belly and her beautiful smile.  I gave her my card and told her I would love to photograph her. A few months passed and no word. I automatically assume people take my card and stash it somewhere that will never see the light again. But thankfully, Vera found me on Instagram. Thank goodness for social media, right? We emailed back and forth about the session and decided Brea Canyon would be great for our Maternity photo session. Vera and Jose couldn't be more adorable. These parents to be and I had lots in common. We used to live in the antelope valley(if you don't know where that is, good for you) and we are students. Jose and Vera, high school sweethearts, made each other laugh. I loved capturing them together in this stage of life. Vera has probably had baby Nikolai by now and I hope to photograph him and share the awesome photos! Enjoy!

Adriana & Liam | Bonelli Portrait Session

This session is so special to me! I tend to cater to couples and weddings, but I take on a few family sessions throughout the year for awesome people. I have watched baby Liam grow from when he wasn't even born! Yes, I photographed Adriana's maternity session. View the session here: Adriana | Bonelli Maternity Session. Liam is such a happy little guy, he made my job easy! Adriana wanted to recreate a photo of when she was 9 months pregnant now that Liam is 9 months. This session had a vintage vibe with his adorable outfits, which included suspenders, and a old suitcase. Definitely one of my favorite baby sessions ever! Please enjoy!

Rachel | Malibu Senior Session

Rachel's senior session was an adventurous one. We ventured our way around Malibu Bluffs park to get those perfect shots. The day was super gloomy and started raining by the end of our session.
She has such a fabulous smile and I feel honored that she chose me to photograph her senior portraits.
Enjoy!

Noel & Pam | Los Angeles Wedding Photographer

Pam and Noel got married on a beautiful day in September. I meet up with Noel at the beautiful Langham hotel in Pasadena, California. We had so much fun with all the ideas the groomsmen had. Pam got ready at her parents home in Altadena. She was such an elegant bride and her bridesmaids were to thrilled to be their with her. The first look was sweet with lots of smiles and happiness. Their beautiful wedding photos were taken at Descanso gardens. Such a beautiful place for photos. I really enjoyed posing this loving couple! I wish them all the happiness in the world!
